This client in Ainslie loves their old-school brick garage however the ravages of time meant it was looking somewhat worse for wear. While the brick structure was still sound, the roof structure was completely compromised. The original eaves had long since disintegrated and the wooden roof frame had suffered from earlier termite damage and sustained exposure to the elements. The old metal roof sheets were rusting and overall the roof was simply falling apart. Needless to say, it was not watertight and therefore not providing adequate shelter to store anything.
We demolished what was left of the old roof, rebuilt the internal roof frame using appropriate structural beams and installed a brand new custom roof comprising of fully insulated corrugated metal roofing panels.
The garage's look was not changed significantly and it is now ready to face the elements for years to come.
